Duties Assist licensed electricians in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities. Support the setup and use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to ensure proper function and safety. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to aid in accurate wiring and system installation. Help with the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Participate in site preparation activities including framing carpentry tasks necessary for electrical infrastructure installation. Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, including proper handling of electrical components and adherence to OSHA standards. Assist in conducting routine inspections using schematics and blueprints to verify wiring accuracy and system integrity. Qualifications Previous experience working as an electrician assistant or in a related construction or industrial environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters is essential for supporting electrical tasks. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems along with NEC guidelines ensures safe work practices. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams is necessary for precise installations. Construction site experience provides familiarity with safety protocols, framing carpentry, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
