Full Description

Child Mental Health Therapist (CBT for Medical Conditions) Part-time with growth opportunity | Remote | Master’s Level | Must be California licensed • Company: Streamind Health • Location: Remote (CA licensure required; PSYPACT welcome) • Compensation: Hourly rate (1099 contractor) • Schedule: Start with a few hours/week, with option to scale About Us Streamind Health is a mission-driven digital behavioral health service founded by child health psychologists who specialize in evidence-based, condition-specific mental health care for children with medical conditions and health concerns. Children with medical conditions often face long waits and difficulties accessing mental health providers who are trained to address their specific needs. Our team is transforming access to care by integrating short-term, virtual therapy directly into the medical journey—starting with pediatric gastrointestinal (GI) disorders and chronic headaches/migraines. Streamind Health believes that technology should make health-focused mental health care delivery easier and more effective. Streamind is designed to reduce provider burden, increase patient follow-through, and make therapy more engaging for everyone involved. Together, we’re building a new model of care that addresses the health needs of children and families navigating chronic or complex health concerns—one that’s accessible, scalable, and deeply specialized. The Role We are seeking a warm, skilled, and curious child mental health provider (Master’s level) with strong CBT experience and interest in learning new skills to treat youth with specific medical conditions and health concerns. • No prior medical/health experience required! This position includes comprehensive training in health-focused CBT* In this role, you’ll: • Deliver short-term, evidence-based therapy (primarily CBT) to children and adolescents with chronic GI conditions (starting with disorders of gut-brain interaction) and/or chronic headache • Target health-related symptoms and outcomes as part of treatment—such as reducing headache frequency or minimizing disability related to irritable bowel syndrome—using evidence-based strategies • Involve caregivers and families when appropriate to support whole-child care and reinforce treatment gains • Participate in specialized training in both medical conditions and Streamind’s condition-specific treatment protocols, all rooted in evidence-based interventions • Access ongoing training and mentorship from Streamind’s founding pediatric psychologists to support your clinical growth and deepen your skills in integrated, whole-person care • Coordinate with referring medical providers and subspecialty teams as part of our standard workflow (training and guidance provided) • Start with a small caseload (2–5 hours/week), with flexibility to scale your hours and impact over time • Embrace a flexible, growth-oriented mindset—as an early-stage startup, our workflows and systems will evolve, and we welcome your feedback to help us build scalable, effective processes What Makes This Opportunity Unique • Train in a highly specialized area. While prior experience with medically complex patients is not required, you’ll gain rare expertise in pediatric health psychology that expands your impact and car eer path.Work • with purpose. You’ll help bridge the gap for kids whose health-related mental health needs are often unmet.Grow • your role—or keep it small. We’re looking for early-stage team members excited to start with a few hours per week. While we welcome those interested in scaling over time, we’re equally open to clinicians who prefer to stay part-time. We're flexible and committed to finding the right fit. Requirements • Master’s-level mental health clinician (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent) • Licensed to practice independently in California • Experience delivering CBT to children, adolescents, and families • Strong therapeutic skills, warmth, and dependability • Interest in working with children with medical conditions and health concerns • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with reliable internet and access to a private, HIPAA-compliant space for conducting therapy sessions • Minimum availability of 2–10 hours per week (with flexibility), with at least some afternoon and/or evening abilities. • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and mentorship in how to deliver CBT for various health conditions. • Ability to flexibly apply manualized interventions during treatment. Nice to Have (But Not Required) • Experience in pediatric or medical settings: While this would be a welcome bonus, it is by no means expected. In fact, Streamind exists because this expertise is so rare among Master’s-level providers. We’re excited to train the right clinicians in this emerging specialty. • Bilingual or multilingual skills Join Us At Streamind Health, we know that reaching kids whose needs often go unmet requires innovation—and people like you. If you're excited to join a mission-driven startup, grow your clinical skillset in an emerging field, and be part of something impactful from the start, we’d love to hear from you. To Apply: Submit your resume and a brief statement of interest via LinkedIn Application or email at samantha@streamindhealth.com. Thank you!! Job Type: Contract Pay: $50.00 - $110.00 per hour No no
