SAP Enterprise Systems Architect Location: Irvine, CA Contract Length: 12 Months with extension likely Contract Type: W2 – Inclusive of employment benefits Full-time contract 8 Hours per day, 5 days per week Pay rate: Open & Flexible – Priority here is finding the right person The Opportunity: My client who is currently looking for a highly experienced and results-oriented SAP Enterprise Systems Architect to join their team. This critical role will be instrumental in shaping and implementing their core SAP landscape, driving seamless integration across various business functions, and ensuring a robust and scalable enterprise system architecture to support their ambitious growth plans. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into technical solutions, and lead the implementation of SAP modules and integrations. Responsibilities: Lead the architectural design and implementation of SAP solutions across multiple modules, including but not limited to: •Manufacturing •Finance •Supply Chain •Logistics •Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of business processes and translate them into SAP system requirements and design specifications. •Architect and implement complex system integrations, with a strong focus on PLM / LM2 integration. This includes: •Defining integration strategies and architectures. •Designing and overseeing the development of API mappings and data transformations. •Ensuring data integrity and consistency across integrated systems. •Lead and contribute to the implementation of SAP integration fundamentals, including various integration types and technologies. •Facilitate workshops and discussions with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand pain points, and propose effective SAP solutions. •Document the SAP architecture, design specifications, configuration, and integration processes. •Provide technical leadership and guidance to the SAP implementation team, including both internal and external resources. •Ensure the SAP system is scalable, secure, and performs optimally. •Stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies and best practices, and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. •Act as a key point of contact for technical SAP-related queries and issues. •Contribute to the development of test plans and participate in testing activities. •Support data migration and cutover activities during SAP implementations. •Collaborate with functional leads and developers supporting SAP and delivering new functionality. Key Skills and Experience: •Extensive experience (10+ years) as an SAP Architect or in a similar role, leading and designing complex SAP implementations. •Deep understanding of SAP modules relevant to manufacturing, finance, supply chain, and logistics. •Proven expertise in designing and implementing system integrations, particularly with PLM / LM2 systems. •Strong knowledge of various integration technologies and methodologies, including API mapping and data integration principles. •Experience with SAP integration tools and platforms. •Solid understanding of SAP data models and data management principles. •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. •Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders •Experience working in an Agile (ideally Scrum) environment. •Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and on-premise SAP deployments. •Experience with treasury management within SAP is a plus. •Prior experience with S/4HANA implementation or exposure is highly desirable. •Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry is beneficial. Desirable Skills: •Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure). •Knowledge of treasury management within SAP. •Familiarity with SAP HANA.
