Information Security Architect – Cloud Security & Compliance Duration : 6 Months CTH 📍 Remote | EST Hours (8–5) | Contract-to-Hire | Start: ASAP We’re looking for an experienced Information Security Architect to help shape cloud security strategy and compliance across AWS and Azure. You’ll work directly with IT engineering teams to embed controls, improve processes, and ensure security is built into every solution. What You’ll Do • Design and review security architectures for AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments • Partner with IT teams to embed controls and reduce risk • Support PCI-DSS, SOX, GLBA, GDPR, and other compliance efforts • Apply frameworks like NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and FFIEC • Drive adoption of secure cloud patterns and tools (Azure Security Center, AWS GuardDuty, CSPM) • Contribute to strategy, standards, and documentation Must-Have Skills • 7–10 years cybersecurity / security architecture experience • 3+ years hands-on AWS & Azure security design • Cybersecurity controls expertise and risk analysis background • Strong knowledge of PCI-DSS, SOX, GLBA, GDPR • Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, FFIEC • IT engineering exposure (networking, LDAP, encryption, patch mgmt, access mgmt) • Excellent communication & consulting skills Preferred Skills • CISSP, CRISC, or cloud security certifications • Scripting (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) • DevSecOps / CI-CD / automation experience • Docker, Kubernetes, CSPM tools • AI-related security certifications Don’t Apply If • You lack AWS & Azure cloud security experience • You’ve never worked with compliance frameworks in regulated industries • Your background is audit-only without hands-on implementation
