Overview: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) is responsible for providing educational and/or vocational counseling, guidance, assessments, and related assistance to Veterans in accordance with Title 38 USC Chapter 36. The purpose of providing these services is for the Veteran to achieve their desired educational and vocational goals and objectives. Tasks & Responsibilities: • Serves as theProgram Manager for ensuring Veterans are provided with all relevant information, guidance, and advice necessary to ensure they can, on an informed and competent basis, select educational and/or vocational goals andobjectives. • Oversees the identification and resolution, to the maximum extentpracticable, barriers to Veterans successfullyattainingtheir goalsandobjectives • Ensure Veterans are provided with a written plan of action on how to achieve their goals andobjectives. • Oversee the development and delivery of a Personalized Development Plan for the Veteran. • Ensure all required reports and deliverables are delivered to Veterans and or the VA ina timelyandaccuratemanner. Required Skills, Education, Experience & Abilities: • Must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree and at least 2-5 years of experience in Technical Vocational Rehabilitation and management of rehabilitation services. • Applicants must successfully undergo a National Agency Check (NAC) with inquiries (NACI) Tier 1 background investigation at the start of workperformance andmaintain this level of security throughout the life of the contract. • Ability to meet and correspond regularly with aGovernmentcounterpart. • Experience conducting Quality Control checks and ensuring training requirements are met. • Ability to exercise a great deal of independent judgment. • Superb verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
