Full Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Developer with expertise in technical architecture, efficient code development, seamless integration of disparate systems, and a strong commitment to data integrity and compliance. The Senior Developer will design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications while providing technical leadership and support throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern development frameworks, system integration, and problem-solving, and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities: · Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions. · Conduct detailed analysis of legacy Unisys COBOL mainframe financial modules · Clarify legacy account structures · Analyze existing legacy Unisys COBOL mainframe batch jobs and workflows to design equivalent batch process in near real-time model · Integrate complex systems and databases, ensuring data consistency and accuracy · Develop and maintain code that adheres to best practices, coding standards, and regulatory requirements · Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues throughout the development lifecycle · Collaborate effectively with business analysts, QA, and other technical teams to deliver a high-quality, integrated system · Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure the technical solution aligns with project goals · Other duties as assigned Consultants may be eligible to telecommute for more than 50% of their work hours, up to and including 100% remote work. Telecommuting arrangements require direct manager approval and are subject to change based on program needs. Consultants approved for 100% remote work must attend monthly in-person meetings at the Albany office and be available for major milestone meetings as needed. Mandatory Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Developer, including designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications, with at least two years’ experience working in an Integrated Eligibility System program in a Health and Human Service setting Desirable Qualifications: 1. Five or more years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs, Microservices and Oracle or PostgreSQL databases. 2. Three to five years of experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (i.e., Jenkins), Agile methodologies, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and integration technologies such as Kafka or MuleSoft. 3. Demonstrated strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability the deliver high-quality software solutions, mentor junior developers, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
