The Role: Institutional Partnerships Director, New Business – SBA Partners Location: US-Based (Remote) Salary: $140K–$160K Base + OTE Skills Required: SBA Lending Expertise Our client is seeking an Institutional Partnerships Director to hunt new business within the SBA lending ecosystem, and spearhead alternative lending offerings into historically SBA focussed partners (e.g. lenders, brokers, loan aggregators, banks) You’ll be at the forefront of expanding SBA-focused partnerships by connecting with banks, non-banks, brokers, and referral networks to unlock new revenue streams and strengthen the company’s presence in the SBA market. Key Responsibilities • Expand the SBA Partner Network: Cultivate and grow relationships with banks, non-banks, brokers, referral partners, and packaging firms. • Reignite and Build Relationships: Leverage your existing SBA network and create new strategic connections that drive deal flow. • Drive Loan Volume: Utilize your expertise and personal network to enhance loan origination and partnership opportunities. • Collaborate for Success: Partner with internal lending specialists and senior leaders to optimize partner and borrower experiences. • Stay Ahead of the Market: Monitor trends, insights, and regulatory changes within the SBA space to inform business strategy. Requirements • 5+ years’ experience in SBA lending or strategic partnerships within the SBA ecosystem. • Deep knowledge of SBA 7(a), 504, and Express Loan programs. • A well-established network of SBA lenders, aggregators, banks, packagers, and referral partners. • Proven success developing and executing growth strategies in the lending or financial services space. • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. • The ability to hit the ground running and work independently.
