STO Building Group Job Title: Strategy and Research Analyst Reports To: Manager, Strategic Growth & Corporate Development Location: New York, NY Department: Strategy Position Summary The Strategy & Research Analyst plays a key role in supporting STO Building Group’s enterprise strategy, market intelligence, and executive planning efforts. This position blends analytical work, market research, and cross-department coordination, helping transform data and trends into insights that inform leadership decisions across the company. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, organized, and comfortable working with data, timelines, and senior-level deliverables. Key Responsibilities 1. Market, Sector & Operational Intelligence Conduct research on markets, clients, competitors, and sector trends Maintain trackers, industry logs, and dashboards used by executives and business leaders Analyze internal and external data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for enterprise growth Support evaluation of potential M&A targets, partnerships, and service-line expansions through data gathering and research Assist with due diligence efforts by organizing findings and preparing analyses 2. Strategic Analysis & Executive Reporting Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for Executive Management and the Board Support monthly and quarterly business reviews by organizing data, analyzing performance trends, and drafting summary insights Organize financial, operational, and market intelligence into concise insights, narratives, and visuals 3. Strategic Planning Support Support the annual Strategic Planning cycle by collecting submissions, validating data, identifying themes, and preparing consolidated analyses Coordinate with business units to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment across planning inputs Maintain and update internal process documentation related to planning, reporting, and research workflows Improve templates, trackers, and analytical tools to streamline Strategy team operations Support continuous improvement efforts within the Strategy function 4. Enterprise Coordination Assist in preparing slide content and supporting documentation for Board meetings, leadership meetings, and executive sessions Coordinate inputs, deadlines, and follow-ups across business units, corporate departments, and the Strategy team Organize information flow, track deliverables, and ensure timely completion 5. Executive Support Collect materials and assist with slide preparation for quarterly Board and management meetings Maintain and update the annual Executive Calendar and distribute updates as needed Support planning cycles, conferences, and other enterprise-level meetings as required. Help manage logistics and follow up actions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, construction management, analytics, communications, or a related field 0–3 years of professional experience in an analytical, research, operations, or project-oriented role Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, or other enterprise systems is a plus (or the ability to learn) Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively across teams Team-oriented mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Curious, resourceful, proactive, and eager to learn about the construction industry and enterprise strategy Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Compensation: In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
