About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Management Accountant (AP Focus) to manage vendor payments and expense tracking across a growing multifamily portfolio (2,500+ units). This role will ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices and strong coordination with property managers, vendors, and ownership. Key Responsibilities • Process and code vendor invoices across multiple properties and entities • Manage weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires) and maintain payment schedules • Maintain and verify vendor W-9s, COIs, and contracts • Track and reconcile utilities, insurance, maintenance, and service contracts • Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, and budget alignment • Coordinate with property managers on open invoices, accruals, and vendor issues • Perform bank and AP subledger reconciliations • Assist with month-end close, including AP accruals and expense allocations • Support 1099 preparation and year-end vendor reporting • Maintain organized AP files and audit-ready documentation • Assist with construction payables and lien waiver tracking when applicable Qualifications • 2–5+ years of accounts payable or real estate accounting experience • Experience with high-volume invoice processing • Familiarity with property management software (AppFolio, Propertyware, etc.) • Strong Excel skills (sorting, lookups, basic formulas) • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines • Strong communication skills with vendors and internal teams Preferred (but not required) • Experience with multifamily or construction AP • Familiarity with lien waivers, draws, and construction payables • Experience with multi-entity accounting Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary (based on experience) • Bonus potential • Health, dental, vision • Paid time off • Growth opportunities within a fast-growing real estate platform Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50, $70,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Health insurance Work Location: In person
