Director, New Business Development – Aerospace Engineering Services Remote (Eastern United States) Our Client is in search of a seasoned Director of New Business Development to propel growth in the Aerospace Engineering Services sector. This position is perfect for a strategic, results-oriented business development leader with a solid background in engineering and technical services, extensive industry connections, and a demonstrated ability to secure new accounts and enhance existing partnerships with Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. The ideal candidate will bring a consultative, solutions-driven sales approach and collaborate closely with engineering and delivery teams to deliver innovative, high-value solutions to clients. Location: Eastern United States | Remote / Work from Home Key Responsibilities • Identify, cultivate, and finalize new business opportunities for engineering services in the aerospace sector. • Utilize and broaden an established network of Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to drive sustained revenue growth. • Establish and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with the organization’s aerospace engineering capabilities. • Lead solution-oriented sales efforts, showcasing engineering design, analysis, digital engineering, and testing services to address customer needs. • Work closely with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure technical alignment and successful solution delivery. • Oversee the entire sales process, including opportunity assessment, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal closure. • Monitor industry trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify emerging opportunities. Qualifications & Experience • 8–10+ years of experience in business development or sales in engineering services, with a focus on aerospace and/or defense. • Proven success in selling engineering, design, or technology-driven services to Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. • Robust relationships within key aerospace accounts and a track record of opening new doors. • Solid technical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate complex engineering solutions into tangible business value. • Outstanding executive-level communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred. • Self-motivated, results-driven leader who excels in a remote setting and collaborates effectively with global teams. • Willingness to travel within the Eastern U.S. and internationally as needed.
