Job Description: Project Manager Commercial Millwork We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our commercial millwork team. This role is responsible for managing commercial millwork projects from contract award through fabrication, installation, and project closeout. The ideal candidate has strong trade knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, vendors, field teams, and internal shop operations to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities • Manage commercial millwork projects from project award through final installation and closeout. • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts to fully understand project scope and requirements. • Coordinate project handoff from estimating and ensure all project details are clearly understood prior to fabrication. • Develop and maintain project schedules and monitor project budgets. • Coordinate with the shop, drafting, and field installation teams to ensure proper planning and execution. • Manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and project documentation. • Procure materials, hardware, and specialty items required for fabrication and installation. • Maintain communication with general contractors, architects, and clients throughout the project lifecycle. • Manage change orders and track project costs to ensure financial performance. • Identify and resolve potential issues related to fabrication, site conditions, or installation sequencing. • Participate in project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders. • Ensure projects meet quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations. Qualifications • Experience in commercial construction project management, with architectural millwork or finish carpentry experience strongly preferred. • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, millwork details, and finish schedules. • Understanding of millwork fabrication processes, installation methods, and project sequencing. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience managing commercial interiors, tenant improvements, or architectural millwork packages. • Familiarity with shop drawing review processes and submittal coordination. • Strong Excel or project tracking skills. • Experience working in a fast-paced millwork or specialty subcontractor environment.
