Job Description: • Oversee the daily operations of hazardous, chemical, and pharmaceutical waste collection, segregation, packaging, and disposal. • Ensure compliance with all EPA, DOT, OSHA, and state environmental regulations. • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hazardous waste management activities. • Conduct audits, inspections, and safety evaluations at customer sites and internal facilities. • Manage waste profiling, sampling, and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. • Coordinate with disposal facilities and transportation teams to schedule shipments and maintain cradle-to-grave compliance. • Train, mentor, and support team members on proper waste handling, HAZWOPER procedures, and safety protocols. • Maintain accurate records, manifests, and reports required by regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. • Serve as primary point of contact for hazardous waste compliance questions and customer needs. • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, cost savings, and process safety. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education in chemistry or hazardous waste management preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Safety Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. • 3+ years of hazardous waste, chemical waste, or environmental compliance experience; supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between customer facilities. • Completion of 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required; additional regulatory certifications preferred. • Strong working knowledge of RCRA, DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide superior customer service and lead teams effectively. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve complex operational challenges. • Must be able to safely lift 50+ pounds as needed. • Immunizations required due to working in healthcare/hospital settings. • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen. • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret regulations, technical documents, and safety requirements. • Ability to prepare accurate reports, maintain documentation, and ensure regulatory recordkeeping compliance.
