The Mopar Inbound Transportation Manager will oversee all inbound transportation activities from suppliers to Mopar's network, including Source to Regional Parts Distribution Centers (PDCs), and third-party packaging warehouses. This individual will lead the strategic and operational execution of Mopar's inbound logistics network, ensuring cost-effective, high-performance transportation that supports Mopar's commitment to best-in-class supply chain excellence. This position is based at Mopar Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, with 10–20% domestic travel to Parts Distribution Centers and supplier sites. Candidates requiring U.S. work visa sponsorship (H-1B or similar) will be considered if qualifications meet Department of Labor requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee all inbound freight flow from North American suppliers into Mopar logistics and distribution facilities. • Lead a team of transportation analysts, coordinators, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient delivery of parts. • Develop and execute annual business plans, transportation budgets, and multi-year optimization strategies aligned with Mopar's global supply chain roadmap. • Conduct monthly performance and cost analytics comparing actual spend versus forecast and budget; develop corrective actions for deviations. • Establish and monitor transportation KPIs focused on quality, cost, delivery, and carrier compliance. • Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers to ensure optimal network performance and value delivery. • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, and PDC Operations to evaluate changing economic and geographic factors impacting transportation costs and capacity. • Drive business case development for inbound logistics redesign, direct‑to‑distribution flows, and carrier network rationalization. • Collaborate closely with FCA/Stellantis Finance to scrutinize annual cost trends, identify savings opportunities, and strengthen business forecasting accuracy. • Ensure team adherence to data integrity, confidentiality standards, and corporate compliance requirements across shared 3PL and internal systems. Requirements: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration • 7+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics network design, or inbound supply chain operations within automotive, manufacturing, or industrial sectors • Proven experience managing a regional or global transportation network with large annual freight spend • Demonstrated success implementing cost reduction initiatives, process optimization projects, and supplier performance programs • Strong understanding of North American import/export movements, customs regulations, and multi-mode carrier operations (LTL, TL, small parcel, ocean, and air) • Advanced proficiency in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: • Master's degree or MBA preferred, particularly with a focus on Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics Strategy • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent operational excellence training • Experience collaborating with international supplier networks and 3PLs • Exposure to AI-driven visibility tools (e.g., Project44, FourKites) for proactive shipment management • Background in automotive aftermarket parts or OEM production logistics highly desirable
