Steeltech, a world-class provider of superior heat and corrosion-resistant products, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Technical Outside Sales Representative. The successful applicant will service heat treat and primary steel producers in the North East Region of the United States. Our comprehensive range of products and materials ensures that furnace equipment and other components hold up for many years of use. Position Overview: As a Technical Outside Sales Representative for Steeltech, you will play a crucial role in our company's growth and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include: 1. Territory Management: You will be responsible for managing and growing sales within your assigned north east territory. This involves developing and executing strategic plans to maximize market penetration and sales opportunities. 2. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. 3. Technical Expertise: Leverage your technical knowledge to provide expert advice on our heat and corrosion-resistant products. You'll need to understand and effectively communicate the benefits of our solutions for various applications in Heat Treat, Aerospace, Steel Mill, and Cement and Lime industries. 4. Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory. This includes prospecting, lead generation, and converting leads into sales. 5. Product Presentation: Conduct on-site product presentations to showcase the features and benefits of Steeltech's products. 6. Needs Analysis: Work closely with customers to understand their specific requirements and challenges, then recommend appropriate Steeltech solutions. 7. Quotations and Negotiations: Prepare detailed quotations, negotiate contracts, and close deals with customers. 8. Market Intelligence: Gather and report market intelligence, including information on competitors, industry trends, and customer feedback. 9. Collaboration: Work closely with our internal teams, including engineering, production, and inside sales, to ensure customer needs are met efficiently. 10. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and forecasts. 11. Trade Shows and Industry Events: Represent Steeltech at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote our products and expand our network. This position offers a unique blend of technical knowledge, relationship building, and strategic thinking. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge materials and contribute significantly to the success of both our customers and Steeltech Ltd. This role requires travel within your territory, with the potential for occasional visits to our headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan for training and meetings. Extensive training will take place at our Grand Rapids, Michigan headquarters for approximately 6 months.
