We’re seeking a Director of Firm Operations (Execution-Focused) to ensure that what leadership designs gets executed at SteelPoint Capital, a fast-growing private investment, lending, real estate, and operating company platform scaling aggressively through 2026 and beyond. This is a high-impact operations role where you will drive clarity, cadence, follow-through, and operational discipline across the entire SteelPoint ecosystem without becoming a bottleneck or a functional owner What You’ll Do: Execution Ownership & Accountability • Own execution across leadership initiatives, ensuring priorities move from decision to completion. • Translate leadership decisions into clear action plans with owners, timelines, and success metrics. • Run weekly execution meetings and maintain scorecards, deadlines, and accountability tracking. • Identify and escalate issues early, before they become fires or distractions Founder Leverage & Focus Protection • You will dramatically reduce execution noise and internal friction for the CEO. • Own internal follow-ups, so the founder doesn’t have to. • Prepare the CEO for meetings with decision-ready context, not status updates. • You will help filter distractions from real priorities and keep teams aligned as the firm scales. Operating Rhythm & Internal Cadence • Ensure all leaders operate on the same clock. • Manage weekly leadership cadence and meeting structure. • Coordinate monthly operating reviews and follow-through. • Partner with the CFO to maintain KPI, reporting, and accountability rhythm. • Eliminate silos and misalignment by ensuring direct and consistent communication across the firm. Cross-Functional Initiatives & Integration • Connect functional systems across the firm for appropriate integration and maximum efficiency. • Drive the adoption and usage of CFO-built reporting. • Track business development partnerships, onboarding, and internal handoffs • Spearhead adoption and execution of shared initiatives. • Support portfolio operators by helping drive consistency we’re appropriate and allowing flexibility where needed. • Provide clear reporting to the Founder on what’s working, not working, and why. What We’re Looking For: • 6-10+ years of experience in operations, execution, or program leadership. • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff, Director of Operations, Program Manager, or Execution Lead. • Experience working directly under a Founder or CEO. • Comfortable operating with senior executives- without needing the title. • Exceptionally organized, structured, and detail oriented. • Comfortable pushing leaders (politely, clearly, and firmly) to deliver. • Low ego, high ownership calm under pressure. • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with high accountability. • Hungry to grow into a future COO/CO role as the platform scales.
