Description: • The primary responsibility of the Parking Lot Security Officer is to ensure the safety and security of our guests, team members, and property. This includes patrolling the premises, responding to emergencies, and enforcing hotel policies and procedures. • Access Control: Control access and monitor entry and exit points. Team member will monitor the parking lot for the duration of the shift to identify and deter potential threats. • Security Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the hotel property, outdoors, to identify and deter potential threats • Greet vehicles and people as they enter the parking lot (by confirming that they are guests staying at the hotel) • Remain visible during this time, watching for parking lot activity • Ensure that the designated second entrance is coned off during the shift (setting up provided cones, signage) and taken down at the end of shift • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches, and take appropriate action. • Loss Prevention: Implement loss prevention measures to safeguard hotel property • Incident Reporting: Document all incidents and suspicious activity in detailed reports • Communicate with hotel team on duty and Loss Prevention team member on duty • Will report to the Director of Security and General Manager This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the team member.
