We are seeking to fill a Budget & Policy Analyst Division - Advanced position in the Division of Facilities and Transportation Services, Bureau of Real Estate Management. The position will be headquartered at the DOA State Office Building: 101 E. Wilson Street, Madison, WI 53703. This position may be eligible for a hybrid remote schedule. Position Summary The Budget & Policy Analyst Division - Advanced position provides leadership of policy and financial analysis for various division wide initiatives in the Division of Facilities & Transportation Services (DFTS). Working closely with the, Bureau Directors, Administrators and Financial Specialists, and under the supervision of the Bureau of Real Estate Management Bureau Director, this position is responsible for representing the Department of Administration regarding State Building Commission request enterprise transactions by authoring Commission submittal materials and by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of submitted materials of this agencies request as well as other applicable agencies SBC requirements. Additionally, this position assists with the development and monitoring of the division's annual operating budget, including creating and maintaining financial reports that reflect both budgetary projects and actual income and expenditures related to building maintenance and State building tenant occupancy and vacancy rates. Salary Information This position is in schedule-range (81-03) with a salary between $74,880 and $91,000. 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. Qualifications Qualified applicants will have the following: • Experience with financial oversight through the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of budgets and expenditures. • Experience creating operating budgets with multiple funding sources and appropriations. In addition, well qualified applicants may have the following : • Experience developing, managing, or implementing budgets and budget projections in a public sector setting. • Experience providing fiscal consultation, technical assistance, or training. • Experience interpreting and applying federal or state regulations, statutes, or administrative rules. • Experience in professional accounting and budgeting principles.
