We are looking to fill a full-time, permanent Administrative Assistant 3 (AA3) vacancy within the Community Corrections Division (CCD). This position reports to the Community Corrections Supervisor (CCS) for the Pierce County Special Assault Unit (SAU) South located at 10109 South Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA 98499. The North and South Pierce County Special Assault Units supervise Level 1, 2, and 3 sex offenders who are currently under supervision for a sex offense. In addition, the units will supervise those individuals convicted of kidnapping if they are required to register with the Sheriff. This position works in a field office where supervised individuals (S/Is) complete the intake process, and high-risk S/Is are supervised by Community Corrections Officers (CCO). This position supervises the support staff and provides assistance to the Community Corrections Supervisor (CCS) and CCOs. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Supervise support staff and other office functions for Pierce County SAU-South 329, Parkland Unit 356, and the Pierce County Gang Unit 605. • Prioritize, establish and coordinate unit procedures and work processes. • Oversee and back-up support duties of OA3, OAL. • Conduct Performance Plans and evaluations for permanent full-time employees, probationary or trial service appointees. • Manage the hiring process for support staff positions. • Enter and retrieve information from various databases (e.g., OMNI, OnBase, WATCH, SharePoint, JABS/JIS). • Maintain electronic and hard copy files. • Assist with telephone calls and walk-in reception/assistance of supervised individuals, law enforcement, the public, and visitors. • Determine, monitor and anticipate the supply needs of the office. Other duties as required. • Archive files. • Assist with the recruitment and hiring process. • Manage quarterly assessments and performance development plans. • Professionally represent DOC in all communications. Required Qualifications • High School diploma or GED equivalent. • And three years of increasingly responsible office experience requiring keyboarding or typing and including experience leading the work of others.
