Description of Work The primary purpose of this position is to perform general office duties to support the activities of the school. This includes receiving telephone calls and greeting visitors, processing incoming and outgoing mail, responding to requests for information, and other office duties as required. • Please note this is an in-office position Mon-Friday Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences • Considerable knowledge of general office procedures, administrative processes, and school system operation Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Suite (outlook, word, excel, etc.) and Google Workspace Apps (gmail, sheets, docs, etc.), as well as other relevant technologies and office equipment to meet the school’s needs. • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, parents, external agencies, vendors, and community partners. • Considerable knowledge of program policies, procedures and information systems in order to communicate and process information • Ability to compile, assimilate and organize both printed and electronic information; ability to apply knowledge of data collection, storage, organization, manipulation and/or analysis of data • Ability to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions • Ability to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups • Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively in written and verbal form; ability to adjust language or terminology • Ability to work in a team environment Minimum Education and Experience Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
