SENIOR MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL) - GREAT BASIN DISTRICT / TEJON SECTOR / FORT TEJON STATE HISTORIC PARK "Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKs program. The reporting location for this position is Fort Tejon State Historic Park at 4201 Fort Tejon Road, Lebec, CA. This position will work under the direction of the Park Maintenance Chief. The work schedule for this position will require working weekends, holidays and as operationally required. This position requires the physical agility and capability to carry out tasks assigned to the maintenance function. Responsibilities include but are not limited to litter and garbage collection and disposal; cleaning and maintaining picnic areas, restrooms, offices, and visitor centers; assisting with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, vandalism repairs, road and trail maintenance, fence repairs, and special projects as directed. This position may lead lower-level seasonal employees performing unskilled manual labor. This position is a uniformed classification and is required to maintain an appearance conforming to Department standards. This position can work 189 days in a 12 consecutive month period or a maximum of 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months per California Code of Regulation 265.1 . This position is designated as not telework eligible. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
