Department Website: http://www.statefundca.com Job Description And Duties State Fund is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Vice President (SVP) of Executive Operations. This critical senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency of the executive office and supporting the Board of Directors. The SVP ensures strict adherence to corporate governance best practices and all applicable statutory rules and regulations. This position inherently requires a deep understanding of the organization's vision, a high level of discretion, and the ability to operate at a strategic level within the executive leadership team. Key Responsibilities: • Board Support and Governance: Provide comprehensive support to the Board of Directors, managing all meeting logistics, agendas, and materials. Maintain secure, confidential corporate records and archives. • Policy Development and Compliance: Develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures that ensure legal and regulatory compliance across the organization. Advise the CEO and the Board on governance matters and best practices. • Executive & External Liaison: Serve as the primary facilitator of communication between the Board of Directors and the executive leadership team. Act as State Fund's official liaison with the Governor's office and coordinate the appointment process for new board members. • Strategic Operations: Oversee the operational efficiency of the executive office, working closely with the CEO/President, General Counsel, and other senior executives to drive organizational priorities and initiatives. • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all corporate actions and operations are in full compliance with relevant statutory rules and regulations, proactively identifying and mitigating potential compliance risks. Desirable Qualifications: • Proven experience in a senior leadership role involving executive office operations, supporting a board of directors or legal/compliance within a complex organization, preferably in the public or insurance sector. • Deep understanding of corporate governance practices and a strong grasp of state and federal regulations applicable to public entities or insurance carriers. • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, in directly managing subordinate staff, with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and liaising with high-level government officials and regulatory bodies. • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate organizational vision into actionable operational plans.
