Full Description

Technical Project Manager, Automation & Systems Role Overview The Technical Project Manager, Automation & Systems will play a pivotal role in executing the company’s technology and automation roadmap. Reporting directly to the VP of Strategic Initiatives, this individual will assist in planning, executing, and iterating key technological initiatives across the organization. In some cases, the TPM will own projects end-to-end — from scoping through delivery and QA. In others, they will work collaboratively with the VP on larger strategic initiatives, supporting coordination, quality assurance, and systems implementation. The ideal candidate is equal parts project manager, systems thinker, and low-code problem-solver, capable of managing multiple stakeholders, vendors, and platforms to bring ideas into production efficiently. Key Responsibilities Project & Product Management • Partner with the VP of Strategic Initiatives to scope and plan new technology projects — defining requirements, timelines, and milestones. • Independently manage assigned projects end-to-end (e.g., automation deployments, CRM upgrades, or portal improvements). • Maintain and organize the company’s ClickUp project boards — ensuring priorities, timelines, and dependencies are clear across teams. • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, developers, designers, and vendors. • Track progress, manage blockers, and ensure deliverables meet scope, timeline, and quality expectations. Automation & Systems • Build, test, and maintain HubSpot workflows, Zapier automations, and other low-code systems that enhance efficiency and reliability. • Document and optimize business processes to ensure automations remain scalable and resilient. • Support integration efforts across systems (e.g., HubSpot, Qwilr,, Google Workspace). • Monitor automation performance and proactively identify areas for improvement or standardization. Quality Assurance • Develop and execute QA test plans for internal software (customer portal, quoting systems, etc.) and external vendor deliverables. • Ensure user acceptance testing (UAT) is structured, documented, and validated prior to deployment. • Maintain consistent testing standards across systems to reduce downtime and rework. Vendor & Cross-Team Management • Coordinate with external developers, designers, and technical vendors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. • Serve as the operational link between business requirements and vendor execution — ensuring deliverables align with company goals. • Help manage communication cadences, documentation, and testing for major technology initiatives. Strategic Initiatives Support • Collaborate with leadership on large-scale projects, such as: • Building an in-house quoting and pricing system for instant estimates. • Expanding functionality within the company’s customer portal. • Launching a mobile app for customer access and updates. • Translate broad strategic goals into actionable project plans, documentation, and measurable milestones. Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience in project management, business systems, or RevOps roles involving automation and integrations. • Demonstrated proficiency with HubSpot CRM (workflows, reports, pipelines). • Working knowledge of Zapier, Make.com, or equivalent low-code automation platforms. • Experience coordinating with software developers or managing vendor relationships. • Familiarity with QA testing and release processes. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate technical details into business language. • Highly organized; thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Summary This role is for a builder–organizer–translator: someone who can turn ideas into execution through systems, automation, and strong cross-team collaboration. The ideal candidate thrives on both hands-on low-code problem solving and structured project management, supporting the VP of Strategic Initiatives in driving the company’s most important technology initiatives forward. Compensation • Base salary: $50,000–$75,000 depending on experience • Bonus: Target 10–15% based on project delivery, automation performance, and company results • Position: Full-time, fully remote • Reports to: VP of Strategic Initiatives
