Position Overview The Operations Intern will support the Trading Operations team with a variety of analytical, data-focused, and administrative tasks. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in financial operations, data management, and investment support while helping the team improve efficiency and focus on higher-level projects. This role will sit with the Trading Desk in New York. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with data in Excel, and has a basic understanding of financial markets and instruments, and/or CRM systems such as Salesforce. Key Responsibilities • Reconcile investment account, holding, and transaction data to ensure accuracy of trading and reporting • Compare and update holdings across internal and external asset management systems • Perform and assist in the completion of recurring daily/weekly/monthly operational tasks to help team workflows • Maintain and reconcile client information between CRM and trading systems • Assist with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as needed • Identify inefficiencies or data quality issues and help propose process improvements Qualifications & Skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, data scrubbing, basic analysis) • Basic understanding of financial markets, finance, or business operations and/or familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team • Comfortable handling repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency • Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) • Coursework in finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related field • Demonstrated interest in financial markets • Experience working with business datasets or internal systems What You’ll Gain • Hands-on experience in investment management and operational processes • Exposure to real-world data management, reconciliations, and investment support • Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the efficiency in a team environment • Exposure to the trading & investment team, as well as wealth management professionals • Development of practical Excel, analytical, and operational skills • Mentorship and insight into careers in operations, finance, or investment management Ideal Candidate Profile This internship is well-suited for a current sophomore student who is motivated, reliable, and eager to learn.
