The Purchasing Manager will establish vendors/suppliers for various materials. Coordinate, and control the cost of material/products and manage inventory levels. Manage supply-chain, receiving and import functions. What You'll Do • Control costs of materials, products by adopting contracts and through effective purchasing policies and inventory management. • Establish and maintain a listing of primary and secondary vendors. • Establish contract and pricing negotiations and systems to achieve short lead times and cost benefits for the company. • Manage purchasing systems by monitoring material demands, issuing purchase orders and managing expedites, change orders, on-time shipments etc. • Work with various departments (sales, engineering, quality, receiving, accounting) to support their functions by managing and controlling various activities such as expedite/late shipments, new material supplier development, supplier audit/quality records & performance, pricing and validating bills/receivers etc. • Lead and support cycle counts/annual inventory. Lead and support annual material cost reviews and implement plans to lower cost. • Manage and co-ordinate import/export requirements/activities and receiving activities. • Other Duties as Assigned What You'll Bring • Two-year college degree in Business Administration or similar field • And/or 3 years of purchasing and management experience in manufacturing. • 1 years of Import/Export Experience with Freight Forwarding Companies is recommended. • Experience in US Customs compliance is recommended but not required. What We Walue • Proficient in Microsoft Products (e.g., Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook) • Import/Export Experience with Freight forwarding companies is desired • Strong Negotiation and problem-solving skills, organized, detail oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Equal Opportunity Employer.
