STAND 8 provides end-to-end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India. Our global solutions team is seeking a Manager of Infrastructure to lead a high-performing team of engineers supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure across database, automation, middleware, storage, compute, and networking across both on-premise and cloud platforms (AWS & Azure). This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for mentoring, strategic planning, and operational excellence. You will oversee infrastructure operations and engineering initiatives, guide modernization efforts, and ensure secure, scalable, and resilient systems across hybrid environments. This position requires both strong leadership and technical depth - working directly with engineers, stakeholders, and application owners to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience and proven success leading global enterprise teams. The project will be remote commutable (primarily remote work with some onsite) in the Englewood Cliffs, NJ area. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers across database, middleware, storage, networking, compute, and automation. • Oversee infrastructure operations including provisioning, performance tuning, patching, backups, and incident response. • Manage on-premises datacenter environments in conjunction with AWS & Azure cloud platforms. • Drive modernization initiatives including cloud migration, automation, virtualization, and standardization of infrastructure services. • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and compliance across infrastructure platforms. • Partner with Security, Cloud, DevOps, and Application teams to ensure cohesive, reliable enterprise operations. • Develop and enforce infrastructure standards, policies, governance, and documentation. • Mentor and grow team members, conduct performance reviews, and support career development. • Manage on-call rotations and ensure 24x7 support coverage for mission-critical systems. • Lead strategic initiatives for infrastructure scalability, cost optimization, and future-state architecture. • Monitor infrastructure health using observability tools and drive continuous improvement. Required Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role. • Strong technical background across databases (SQL & Oracle, SQL Server DBA), middleware, storage, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking, and cloud (AWS/Azure). • Experience managing hybrid cloud environments and on-prem datacenters at enterprise scale. • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives. • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance frameworks. • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. • Experience in a global, fast-paced enterprise environment with rotational on-call support. Preferred Qualifications • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Specialist, or equivalent. • Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) - but not required as a core focus. • Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack). • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and hybrid cloud orchestration. • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and policy-as-code frameworks. Additional Details The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - 175,000 annually, depending on experience. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
