We are seeking a Business Analyst / Technical Writer with deep expertise in Participations and Residuals to join our Solutions team. This hybrid role blends business systems analysis with technical writing to support enterprise software development and operational excellence. You will collaborate with stakeholders across finance, accounting, and IT to gather requirements, map workflows, and produce high-quality documentation that drives system enhancements aligned with business needs. This position must be worked onsite in a hybrid schedule in the Greater Los Angeles area (close to Hollywood), requiring the work to be done onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Responsibilities • Partner with business stakeholders to understand and document Participations and Residuals workflows, requirements, and operational processes. • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workflow mapping across cross-functional teams. • Translate complex business and technical concepts into clear, actionable documentation including: • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) • Process flows and data models • Test scripts and UAT scenarios • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system enhancements meet business requirements and are accurately reflected in documentation. • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test cases and validating outcomes. • Participate in peer reviews to ensure documentation quality, accuracy, and alignment with business goals. • Continuously improve documentation based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business needs. • Format and edit technical documents using Microsoft Word and other tools to enhance clarity and usability. Requirements • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Writer in Enterprise IT environments, preferably within media, entertainment, or finance. • Strong understanding of Participations and Residuals business processes and systems. • Proven ability to gather and document business and functional requirements. • Exceptional writing and analytical skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word; experience with Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools for process modeling. • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid SDLC methodologies. • Experience with finance or accounting software systems is highly desirable. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or a related field. Additional Details The base range for this contract position is $48-55/per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
