We are dedicated to being a valuable strategic partner for our clients by delivering on three promises: • Having a deep understanding of the brand, product, and market • Applying an innovative approach to everything we do, from ideation to execution • Finding unique ways to tell a compelling story that the audience will love About the Role Our Pasadena office (hybrid/remote) is currently seeking an experienced Producer/Director/Editor who will hold a pivotal role as part of the Video Team by directing, producing, and editing high-quality, quick-turnaround short-form content that meets our client’s strategic communication needs. This position requires a high level of creativity, an advanced understanding of visual storytelling, a developed sense of responsibility and organization, and a strong understanding of how video serves business objectives. This role requires high-level proficiency in the entire production process—from concept development and on-set direction to the final edit. In this role, the Producer/Director/Editor will be responsible for guiding the artistic aspects of the production. They will interpret the script, visualize the story, and work with the cast and crew to bring the vision to life by overseeing everything from pre-production to post-production and ensuring the overall tone, style, and narrative are effectively conveyed. The Producer/Director/Editor is a strategically minded professional who exemplifies Stage3’s core values: • Always be curious • Be a problem solver • Be respectful of others • Maintain a high level of integrity • Take the initiative Responsibilities • Mentor and guide video editors. • Ideation & Conceptualization: Conceive, ideate, and conceptualize compelling ideas and creative solutions for a range of video content, ensuring alignment with client brand strategy and project objectives. This includes writing scripts and storyboards for videos and advertising campaigns. • Production Leadership: Lead and manage video projects from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring creative excellence, on-time execution, and adherence to budget. Guide the artistic aspects of a production, interpreting the script, visualizing the story, and overseeing everything from pre-production to post-production. • Creative Collaboration: Collaborate with Content, VFX, Design, and Account teams to execute creative concepts and client briefs for diverse corporate needs, including brand films, product launches, internal communications, training videos, marketing campaigns, client testimonials, explainers, case studies, as well as social shorts, brand/image content, and sizzles. • Pre-Production: Handle several key aspects of pre-production, including developing creative pitch decks and shot lists, pitching concepts to clients, and collaborating with outside vendors to execute production. Scouting locations and hiring freelance crew and talent. • Directing: Direct on-set and on-location shoots, providing clear creative guidance to crew and talent to ensure the creative vision is captured effectively. Act as a key point of contact, collaborating and communicating with clients to ensure their vision is realized on-set. • Post-Production: Edit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring a high level of quality, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. This includes managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. • Quality Control: Oversee the post-production workflow, including sound design, color correction, and motion graphics, to ensure all final deliverables meet the highest creative and technical standards. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in video and film production. Qualifications • At least seven (7) years of directing and editing experience, with significant exposure to commercial campaigns, corporate video production, or agency-level brand content. • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with After Effects is highly desirable, and knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects is a plus. • Strong understanding of storytelling techniques and visual aesthetics tailored for brand messaging and business objectives. • Creativity in generating story ideas and demonstrated expertise in production workflows, crafting impactful corporate narratives. • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. • Deep understanding of camera operation, lighting, sound, and other technical aspects of filmmaking. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of industry best practices, broadcast standards, and digital delivery specifications. • Automotive industry experience and/or interest is highly desired. Consumer electronics experience is a plus.
