Medical Office Coordinator - Job Description Position: Medical Office Coordinator Locations: North Miami, Coral Gables, Dadeland, Oakland Park Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday Pay: $19 - $20 per hour (depending on experience) Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Coordinator to support the daily operations of a busy medical office. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth patient flow, provide excellent customer service, and support the clinical staff with administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities: • Greet and check in patients, verify insurance information, and collect copays. • Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-ups. • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally. • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in EMR systems. • Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, and staff. • Process medical documentation, referrals, and authorizations as needed. • Assist with office inventory and supply management. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies. Qualifications: • 1+ year of experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting. • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Athenahealth, Epic, eClinicalWorks, etc.). • Knowledge of insurance verification and basic billing is preferred. • Strong communication and organizational skills. • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
