Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Salary: $90–100K/Year Benefits: Full Benefits + Bonus Job Purpose Candidates have to deal with high volume high scale distribution, over 200 containers per day- inbound and outbound. We are seeking an experienced Traffic General Manager to lead and optimize inbound and outbound logistics operations across our U.S. Consolidation and Mixing Centers. This high-impact role is responsible for managing a team of 10+ logistics and warehousing professionals nationwide, coordinating across multiple time zones, and delivering exceptional customer service to our clients. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with deep expertise in traffic and transportation management, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods into and out of warehouses. This includes planning, scheduling, and coordinating shipments, managing carrier and vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities 1. Nationwide Team Leadership • Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of 10+ logistics professionals across multiple states. • Ensure effective collaboration and performance across different time zones. 2. Vendor & Broker Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and logistics brokers. • Oversee a large-scale broker network and ensure dedicated carriers maintain capacity for growth. 3. Customer Service • Serve as the primary logistics contact for our client, providing timely communication, issue resolution, and high satisfaction. 4. Transportation Planning & Shipment Management • Plan and arrange transportation services for inbound and outbound freight. • Select carriers, negotiate rates, and consolidate shipments to reduce costs. • Coordinate routing, scheduling, and tracking of shipments to ensure timely delivery. 5. Process Improvement & Optimization • Collaborate with Logistics and Service Center Managers to implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. • Use data analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance supply chain efficiency. 6. Communication & Coordination • Act as a liaison between suppliers, carriers, and internal departments such as sales and dispatch. 7. Problem Resolution & Compliance • Handle issues such as lost or damaged goods and ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations. • Maintain adherence to OSHA standards and company safety policies. 8. Warehouse & Fleet Oversight • Supervise workers involved in shipping, storage, and maintenance. • Ensure the physical condition of warehouses meets operational standards. 9. Financial & Strategic Reporting • Prepare financial and management reports, present industry rate trends, and align logistics operations with business objectives. Qualifications • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in traffic management, with a focus on managing inbound/outbound shipments, vendor coordination, and damaged goods claims. • Proven experience in team leadership across multiple time zones. • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration; equivalent experience considered. • Strong strategic thinking, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics-specific systems: • TMW, WMS, Road Net TMS, Truckmate, PC Miler, Qualcomm GPS, Load Boards, Freight Calculators. • Ability to travel as required and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Work Environment & Physical Requirements • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse/service center environments with variable temperatures. • Must be able to safely operate around heavy moving equipment in a fast-paced setting.
