Staff Up is Hiring Cable Manufacturing Operator (Cabling and Taping ) Shift: 8AM Start (Possible rotating shift) Monday to Friday Pay Rate: $18.00HR Position Summary We are hiring a Cable Production Line Operator (Cable and Taping )to operate and maintain production line equipment used in the manufacturing of wire and cable products. The ideal candidate will have experience in insulation extrusion, wire twisting and cabling, and jacket extrusion processes. Responsibilities • Operate insulation extrusion, twisting/cabling, and jacket extrusion line equipment • Run related equipment such as pay-off stands, extruders, cooling troughs, and take-up machines • Load raw materials (e.g., copper, plastic) into machines as instructed • Set up, adjust, and monitor machinery for quality and efficiency • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines • Conduct in-line quality checks (diameter, surface condition, insulation, printing, etc.) • Record production and inspection data accurately • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines Qualifications Required: • Experience in PVC wire and cable manufacturing (preferred but not required) • Familiarity with insulation extrusion, twisting, cabling, and jacket extrusion processes • Ability to read and interpret production drawings, specifications, and use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) • Strong attention to detail and quality • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Basic English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) • Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs • Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot basic equipment issues • Authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred: • Prior experience operating cable production equipment (extruders, twisters, cablers, jacket extruders) • Experience with self-quality inspections Work Schedule • Full-time position • Shift work may be required • Overtime available based on production demand Benefits • Competitive pay • Opportunities for growth and advancement • Supportive and team-oriented work environment Join a company that values quality, safety, and teamwork — apply today to become part of Staff Up!
