Staff Management Group is seeking a Quality Control Technician for our client in Clifton, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position. Schedule: • 3rd Shift: 10PM - 6:30AM Pay Rate: • $18 / hour Job Summary: The Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting quality checks and inspections on products to ensure they meet specified quality standards. This role involves performing various tests, documenting results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain product integrity and improve quality processes. Job Responsibilities: • Conduct inspections and quality checks on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. • Perform tests and measurements using appropriate tools and equipment to verify product specifications and attributes. • Document all test results, observations, and deviations from the quality standards accurately and in a timely manner. • Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and non-conformances and recommend corrective and preventive actions. • Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to address and resolve quality concerns and process improvements. • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant quality regulations. • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results. • Participate in the development and updating of quality control procedures and guidelines. • Train and guide production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices. • Report any potential safety hazards or quality risks to appropriate personnel. Job Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in quality control or related field is a plus. • Previous experience in quality control or a related role is preferred but not required. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in using quality control tools and equipment. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Certification in Quality Control (e.g., Certified Quality Technician) is a plus. • Familiarity with quality control processes and standards relevant to the industry. Work Environment: The Quality Control Technician will work primarily in a laboratory or production environment, which may involve exposure to chemicals and potential hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
