Staff Management Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for our client in Whippany, NJ. Schedule: • 1st Shift: 7AM - 3:30PM Pay Rate: • $17 - $20 / hour Job Summary: QA Inspector's responsibility includes to perform In-Process inspection, finished product inspection, line clearance and to maintain cGMP compliance in the packaging area. Job Responsibilities: • Responsible for performing in-process and finished product inspections and document results on various packaging lines. • Responsible for making sure packaging is done according to cGMP and customer or Nutra-Med specifications. • Responsible for documenting all inspection results as required by packaging batch record. • Responsible to review and assure that packaging is done according to packaging order. • Responsible to perform line clearance, along with approve and document line cleaning. • Responsible to make sure cleanliness is always maintained in the packaging area. • Responsible for making sure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and calibration stickers are checked before using for inspection. • Responsible for making sure all waste containers are properly labeled and all waste is in waste containers only. • Responsible for making sure all in-process and finished products are properly labeled at all times with proper labeling. • Perform end of the line cleaning and end of lot functions when lot packaging has completed. • Responsible for verifying that all labeling components i.e. bottle/shipper labels, inserts/ousters, cartons, are properly controlled. • Responsible to review batch records for accuracy before records are closed out at end of the lot. • Responsible for pulling customer samples, retain samples and any other samples requested by supervisor or customer. • Responsible to review temperature and humidity requirements for packaging products and to make sure packaging is done within those ranges for temperature and humidity. • Responsible to verify that lot#, Expiry date and all components are checked at start of the order and whenever components are issued on the line. • Responsible to make sure all components issued on the line are properly approved and have approval sticker on each pallet. • Responsible to set-up or verify that scale used by production people for weight count is accurately giving correct count. • Responsible to perform or verify that challenge of scales, barcode scanners and check-weigher, whenever used on the packaging lines, is/was properly completed. • Responsible for making sure bulk containers are weighed at start of order and the weights are properly documented in the batch records. • Responsible to make sure packaging people on the line are properly wearing uniform and protective gloves, hairnet and beard cover as required. • Perform label and product reconciliation at end of the job or as required. • Responsible to make sure all packaging people are following safety procedures. • Assume responsibility in absence of other QA Associates. • All other jobs as assigned by QA Supervisor, QA Manager and/or QA Director Job Requirements: • Minimum high school degree • At least 3 years' experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control or equivalent experience • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills • Strong communication skills • Ability to read and write in English.
