About the Team: The User Data team is responsible for all aspects of user profiles. We handle everything from data ingestion and processing to storage and representation for various downstream services and stakeholders, including Bidding, Data Science, and more. Our team also oversees the non-programmatic workflow engine and user segment builder. Our systems, built primarily in Golang, handle millions of requests per second with an SLA of 100ms. We utilize modern tools and databases such as AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and ScyllaDB. It's important to note that we are a software services team, not a data engineering team. What You'll Be Doing: Developing highly scalable, distributed real-time micro-services mainly using Go. Working with large data sets and various databases including Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Redis, ScyllaDB, Redshift, TiDB, and MariaDB. Creating software that utilizes messaging queues such as Kafka, SQS, and Kinesis. Writing performance-efficient and memory-optimized code. What You'll Bring To The Table: 5+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer. Extensive hands-on experience with at least one common backend programming language (Go is preferred, but not mandatory). Strong problem-solving skills in data structures, algorithms, and optimization. Experience in working with relational databases and/or key-value stores. Expertise in building scalable micro-services and distributed systems. Bonus: Experience in Adtech/Martech, understanding user/profile management, familiarity with real-time data streaming and large-scale data storage, and basic knowledge of Machine Learning concepts.
