Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive with Electric Utility Sales Experience to join our team. This role requires a solid understanding of the utilities industry and a proven track record of success in selling to large electric utilities. The ideal candidate will have Formal Education (ASEE or BSEE) or training in Electrical Engineering and a deep knowledge of Utility Industry market dynamics and trends within the utilities industry. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets by identifying and developing new business opportunities with large electric utilities. You will work closely with utility executives, engineers, and procurement teams to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions that meet their requirements. This position requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Responsibilities • Identify and develop new business opportunities with large electric utilities (IOU's), Municipalities and Co-Ops. • Build and maintain strong relationships with utility executives, engineers, and procurement teams • Understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions that meet their requirements • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and pricing strategies • Present and demonstrate products and services to potential customers • Negotiate and close sales contracts and agreements • Achieve or exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Requirements • Proven experience in selling to large electric utilities (aka: IOU's) • Strong knowledge of the utilities industry and market trends • Excellent communication and presentation skills/Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders/Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets • Experience selling highly technical products (ideally: products that mix both Hardware and Software). • Experience in the Creation and Delivery of Sales Demonstrations, Proof of Concept Demonstrations or Similar Software Focused Sales Demonstrations including Power-Points, Screen-Shots and Real-Time Software Simulation Demonstrations. • Experience working in a Sales-Business Development role for a company that sells, integrates, builds OR designs SCADA or DCS or HMI or Process Control or similar Electronic Control System with a focus on external IOU type companies within the Electric Utility Domain. • Experience making to external customers with a focus on addressing hot-buttons, problem areas and solving client problems. • Experience using a CRM or Sales-Contact-Pipeline System for logging, tracking and 'successing' your contacts, leads, prospects and sales-pipeline • Must Be Very Computer Literate (Well Versed in MS Outlook and Teams, Zoom, WebEx, Google-Meet, etc.) • Should be willing to travel as needed (approximately 20% eastern U.S. travel) • A BSEE or engineering degree is preferred.
