Personalized care together with advanced technology is what it means to be Community Strong Responsibilities The Assistant Supervisor of Operations will assist and support general operations via variable tasks to include training and quality monitoring of the Patient Service Representative staff, supply management, enhanced patient revenue activities. The Assistant Supervisor is responsible to: Provide in person training, both orientation and inservices, for all Patient Service Representatives (PSR) staff relative to quality customer service and completion of key tasks to include but not limited to eligibility verifications, office based preauthorizations and follow up testing appointments with a goal to optimize revenue. Organize and implement random, unannounced monitoring of customer service, with summary reports. Maintain the process for Montefiore Provider support services at Dobbs Ferry. As needed, provide training to PSR staff regarding process. Function as liaison for the Employee Health/Corporate Health Department to maintain patient flow between services. Oversee and assist with maintaining medical and nonmedical supply inventory for Boyce Thompson, Hartsdale and 1022 No. Broadway sites. This may include ordering to ensure required inventory is on site. Support the Assistant Director regarding equipment repairs. In collaboration with the PSR team, ensure all monthly statistics are reported accurately and timely for sites as assigned. As assigned by Assistant Director, assist with daily co-pay collection and other related patient payments to ensure reconciliation and submission to Revenue Cycle staff daily. Close collaboration with and oversight of Interventional Spine & Pain Management Center team to ensure preauthorizations and associated documentation are complete for optimal reimbursement. Complete related reports as requested. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Three (3) year of medical office experience with a key focus on customer service. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in customer service in medical setting required. 3 years of office based experience preferred Knowledge of outpatient office-based services, customer service, general operations, medical terminology and familiarity with supplies and costs. Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: AS Degree is relevant field.
