St. Ann’s Community is currently searching for a Resident Accounts Representative for the St. Ann’s Home Finance department located on our Irondequoit Campus. The purpose of your job is to prepare and submit monthly bills to residents, residents’ families, banks, attorneys, Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and participating HMOs and other insurances as needed, as well as any subsequent follow up necessary. Job Description: Input new admissions, verifies insurances and update permanent records. Prepares and submits billing claims which include posting monthly receipts and adjustments; balancing sales, preparing refunds, and creating a Trial Balance. Prepares monthly bills for Private, Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party insurances. Notifies responsible parties of Medicare & Medicaid coverage and non-coverage. Supplies requested information to Medicare and Medicaid inquiries. Issues covered, non-covered Medicare letters to family members. Performs routine analysis and follow up billing of outstanding accounts. Ensures proper procedures related to Medicare, Medicaid and other third party payers Maintains list of PRIs for Medicaid reimbursement. Prepares All Third Party Insurance bills for residents’ co-insurance. Balances Days & Sales for input into General Ledger. Data Entry of Cash Receipts by Entity Responds to residents and responsible parties’ billing questions. Performs other duties as assigned. Analyses physician billing receipts, copies weekly billing and receipt information to be forwarded or returned to Billing Services Process all billings for (3) Adult Day Service Programs, including adjustments; balancing sales, preparing refunds and creating aged trial balances. Candidate Requirements: Associated Degree with one to two years accounting & computer experience‑preferably in Excel; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Billing Certification; Knowledge of medical billing helpful.
