Position Purpose: The District Inventory Manager at SRS Heritage Group is pivotal in ensuring optimal inventory availability within a designated geographic area or commodity, directly supporting the success of our business customers. This role requires a meticulous and analytical individual who excels in inventory replenishment, SKU maintenance, and discrepancy reconciliation, while providing exceptional service to our field sales locations. By seamlessly integrating with both regional and corporate teams, the District Inventory Manager will drive inventory efficiency and accuracy, contributing to the overall growth and success of our organization. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the inventory replenishment process by setting, reviewing, and updating purchase order parameters to ensure optimal stock availability and support the success of selling locations across the designated region. - Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to strategically transfer products among selling locations, effectively managing stock outs, and optimizing vendor Early Buy programs. - Maintain SKU data integrity by updating pricing, activation statuses, lead times, stock status, usage metrics, and order quantities to facilitate efficient inventory management and order accuracy. - Expedite procurement processes by regularly reviewing back order and open purchase order reports, updating delivery dates, and communicating lead time changes to the sales field, ensuring timely fulfillment. - Optimize inbound freight logistics by leveraging vendor-prepaid programs, determining strategic product transfer to logical locations, and obtaining competitive freight quotes for cost-effective inventory transportation. - Resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with accounts payable and vendors, notifying Sourcing teams of any vendor or pricing issues to maintain financial accuracy and vendor relationships. - Deliver exceptional customer service by managing special orders, coordinating special buys and offers, and assisting in the successful opening of new branch locations to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. - Utilize strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to support data-driven decision-making, ensuring detailed accuracy in all inventory management processes while fostering a collaborative team environment. Direct Manager Direct Reports: Direct Manager/Direct Reports Reporting Structure: The District Inventory Manager reports directly to the Regional Purchasing Manager within the SRS Heritage Group. This role operates in close collaboration with Sourcing Managers and Regional Sales Personnel to ensure seamless inventory management. Direct Reports: The position currently does not have any direct reports. It is positioned as an individual contributor role, emphasizing cross-functional collaboration and support across designated regions or commodity teams. Travel Requirements: The District Inventory Manager in the SRS Heritage Group may travel occasionally to effectively support inventory replenishment and customer service operations in designated regions. Physical Requirements: Physical Requirements The District Inventory Manager position within the SRS Heritage Group primarily involves executing tasks in a standard office environment. This role requires prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, along with the frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and copiers. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; a degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred. - Minimum of three years of experience in inventory management, supply chain management, or a related field. - Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis, reporting, and decision-making. - Proven strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of optimizing cross-functional collaboration. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet targeted outcomes. - Experience with Agility Software or similar inventory management systems is considered an advantage. - Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to contribute positively to team dynamics. - Experience handling supplier relationships and managing external vendor communications. - Capable of working autonomously in a home office or at an office within the assigned regional location. Advanced Analytical Proficiency: Experience with advanced analytical and business intelligence tools, such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau, to drive data-driven decisions and enhance inventory forecasting accuracy. 2. Process Improvement Expertise: Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to optimize inventory management processes and improve operational efficiency. 3. Supply Chain Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks that may disrupt inventory flow. 4. Strategic Vendor Management: Proven ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including experience negotiating favorable terms and developing collaborative partnerships. 5. Project Management Skills: Certification or experience in project management (e.g., PMP or equivalent), with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional projects that streamline inventory operations. 6. ERP Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly in managing inventory operations, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and integrate them into existing processes. 7. Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial principles related to inventory management, including the ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses and budget forecasting. 8. Leadership Capability: Prior experience in a leadership role within inventory or supply chain management, demonstrating the ability to mentor and develop junior team members. 9. Crisis Management Experience: Skilled in developing and executing contingency plans for inventory disruptions, demonstrating resilience and adaptability under pressure. 10. Continuous Learning Attitude: Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in inventory management. Minimum Education: A four-year college degree in a related field is preferred. Preferred Education: A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred, with additional consideration for candidates possessing advanced qualifications such as a master's degree in business administration or a relevant discipline. Organizational Skills: Manages multiple priorities, including reviewing stock levels, managing purchase orders, and expediting logistics to ensure the timely delivery of inventory across selling locations. 6.
