Manage and collect accounts receivable, communicate with customers and sales teams, process credit applications, and support multiple branches under direction of credit management.
Credit or collections experience preferred, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication and analytical skills, ability to multitask and handle stress, and pass pre-employment checks.
Description: • Protect and collect the company’s account receivable (AR) portfolio assigned by the Regional Credit Manager for the North California area • Make collection calls and provide lien/prelien support and duties • Communicate with internal and external customers, perform customer account reviews, and recommend actions on accounts to internal customers • Take direction from the RCM and/or Director of Credit; role provides direct training for an RCM role • Evaluate and release orders from ticket hold and maintain notes in company computer system on accounts • Process & approve credit applications and job accounts within authority level; learn to establish credit lines; review decisions with RCM as needed • Communicate with Sales team and credit team; track and reconcile deductions; manage lien waivers and joint check review; enforce credit policy and guide/educate sales team and customers • Monitor deadlines for notices, mechanics liens and bond claims; send notices as needed with RCM approval • May include cash application interaction; participate in credit team meetings and key performance indicator reviews • Work closely with the RCM and support 15 or more branches; perform other responsibilities and projects as assigned. Requirements: • Credit/collection experience preferred • Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel • Ability to effectively communicate with broad range of people, positions and situations • Have good working knowledge of Notices, mechanics liens, payment bonds and bond claims • Effective written and verbal skills • Ability to efficiently multi-task • Analytical skills • Decisive • Ability to “think different” • Not afraid to speak their mind • Self-motivated • Ability to handle and resolve conflict/confrontation • Ability to handle stress and stressful situations • Ability to handle fast paced environment • Ability to support 15 or more branches • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug testing (where applicable) and background verification before employment is finalized.
