SRM Concrete is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team. The role involves preparing reconciliations, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP principles, while also developing business processes and accounting policies. Responsibilities • Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations and assists with month-end close procedures • Assist with preparation for audits and quarterly reporting requirements • Strong analytical abilities to resolve complex issues and provide resolution to senior management • Ability to analyze current business work flows and productivity • Strong communicator with established skills in accuracy, organization and working in a high-volume dynamic environment • Team player looking to help on projects wherever needed and assist in training accounting staff • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles • Full cycle accounting experience • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple job duties • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines Skills • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance • 2+ years of experience with public accounting or private experience • Experience working with Microsoft dynamics and proficient Microsoft excel skills • Quickbooks/Concur/ERP systems • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Highly proficient with accounting software • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles Benefits • Competitive pay commensurate with experience. • Competitive Benefits Package (health, dental, vision, life, and disability). • 401(k) with company match. • Paid time off and vacation.
