Overview The Director of IT Engineering leads the IT engineering teams and drive the development of cutting-edge technology solutions. This role oversees system architecture, manage large-scale projects, and ensure the successful delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable IT systems. Overview of Responsibilities Essential job functions: • Develop and implement the IT engineering vision and roadmap aligned with organizational goals • Define and maintain the architecture for enterprise IT systems to ensure scalability, performance, and security • Ensure the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient IT systems and infrastructure • Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and risk mitigation strategies • Implement robust processes for system monitoring, incident response and disaster recovery • Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners • Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement technical solutions that meet business needs • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, system architects, and IT professionals • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize technology investments and initiatives Qualifications Knowledge Skills & Abilities: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience • 10+ years of experience engineering or software development, 5+ years of experience in a leadership role • Deep understanding of software development life cycle, system architecture, and cloud platforms • Experience with modern development practices, including DevOps, microservices and containerization • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, compliance, and data governance • Experience with Agile and/or DevOps methodologies • Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-stakeholders Core Competencies: Communication: Convey information, ideas, and feedback clearly and concisely in an engaging manner that helps others understand and retain the message; listening actively to others.
