We’re looking for a highly skilled, motivated Director of Analytics to help build out the SportsBiz suite of à la carte software solutions—delivering usable, elegant, scalable tools that shape the future of sports marketing. Important – Compensation Structure Transparency is our culture. SportsBiz's valuation as of Q4 2025 is $25M pre-money. Management is presently engaged in a $5M advanced seed round. With that said, all current team members are compensated through: • Equity + routine stipends (until fundraising closes, anticipated Q1/Q2) • Full salary + bonus + benefits begin immediately after successful funding This role is ideal for candidates who are energized by early-stage building and want meaningful ownership and impact. Full-Time Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for the SportsBiz Data Platform including data collection, cleansing, processing and storage using PySpark and Databricks. • Automate data collection, data testing and deployment processes. • Implement monitoring and logging systems to ensure data collection and enrichment processes run smoothly in production. • Collaborate with sports marketing, engineering, data science and product around solutions and products. • Develop data applications and services using Python aligning with our business needs and technical requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide technical guidance and support. Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field • Technical and analytical skills • Advanced data analysis: Proficiency in statistical modeling, data mining, and other advanced analytical techniques. Communication and problem-solving • Communication: The ability to present complex data findings to non-technical audiences, including executives, in a clear and concise way. • Problem-solving: A strong critical thinking ability to analyze problems and develop data-driven solutions. • Data storytelling: Translating data into a compelling narrative that drives decision-making. • Programming languages: Expertise in languages commonly used for data analysis, such as Python and R. • Database management: Strong skills in SQL and managing databases are critical for handling large datasets. • Machine learning: Experience with implementing machine learning models is increasingly important. • Data visualization: Mastery of tools like Tableau or Power BI to create clear and compelling visual representations of data. • Cloud and big data platforms: Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms like AWS or Azure, and big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
