Position: Senior Façade Engineer - Design We are looking to add an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Façade Engineer to our client's team. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of façade and building envelope systems, including design, materials, and performance analysis. You will play a key role in assessing, designing, and providing expert recommendations to ensure high-performing, durable exterior enclosures. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with in-house engineers and architects while working on a variety of projects, with potential for growth and advancement within the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct assessments and analysis of façade and building envelope systems for new and existing structures. • Develop detailed design solutions and specifications for exterior wall, glazing, and cladding components. • Perform forensic investigations related to façade and building envelope failures and deficiencies. • Provide technical expertise on materials, thermal performance, moisture management, and air barriers within the enclosure system. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate façade systems with overall building design. • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration to ensure quality and compliance. • Stay up to date with industry trends, codes, and best practices related to exterior enclosure design. Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in façade or building envelope consulting/engineering. • Strong knowledge of exterior wall, cladding, glazing systems, materials, and performance evaluation techniques. • Experience with forensic investigations, diagnostics, and failure analysis of building enclosures. • Proficiency in design software and building performance modeling tools. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
