Job Title: IT Product Specialist, Expert Location: Remote or Fairfield, CA 3 months+ Contract Top Skills: SDLC, Hands on Integration work, Broadcom OI Team: The IT Operations Tools Team manages the lifecycle of enterprise monitoring and automation tools, supporting critical infrastructure across Network, Telecom/Transport, SCADA, and other domains. As part of a strategic initiative, the team is deploying a new Enterprise Network Management System (ENMS) to unify and enhance observability and operational awareness. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on IT Product Specialist to support the rollout, integration, and Tier 2 operational support of ENMS tools. This role demands deep technical expertise, strong collaboration skills, and full lifecycle experience across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will be instrumental in both project delivery and ongoing support, including upgrades, testing, and production readiness. Key Responsibilities: Project & Integration Work • Lead integration of monitoring and event management tools into an enterprise Observability and AIOps platform. • Build and optimize monitoring instrumentation to proactively detect and resolve issues. • Develop dashboards, reports, and alerting mechanisms tailored to operational needs. • Perform hands-on development and scripting to support automation and integration efforts. • Participate in all phases of the SDLC: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, application support, database, VMware, and enterprise NOC. Tier 2 Operational Support • Perform Operational Intelligence (OI) application upgrades in DEV environments to validate fixes and enhancements. • Drive promotion of validated upgrades to TEST and PROD environments. • Support container upgrades and lifecycle management in Kubernetes/Docker environments. • Manage and update SSL/TLS certificates across monitoring platforms. • Conduct Disaster Recovery (DR) testing, validate failover scenarios, and document outcomes. • Perform device discovery, onboarding, and decommissioning within monitoring platforms. • Administer Linux (RHEL) systems and support containerized environments. Required Qualifications: • 5 7 years of experience in an Enterprise NOC or IT Operations environment. • 5 7 years of hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Broadcom DxNetOps, Micro Focus, IBM Tivoli). • Strong experience across the SDLC with a focus on automation, testing, and deployment. • Proficiency in RESTful API integration and data transformation using JSON and XML. • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PERL. • Solid understanding of networking and server infrastructure (Windows, Linux, Unix, AIX). • Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) and Docker. • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with observability tools such as: • Broadcom Operations Insight • Grafana • Oracle Enterprise Manager • Dynatrace • PagerDuty • Familiarity with Postman for API testing and integration development. • Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems like BMC Remedy. • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Experience with infrastructure upgrades, DR testing, and certificate management.isor, Infrastructure & Operations
