Job Title: IT Supervisor FLSA: Exempt Department: IT Reports to: Director of Information Technology Role Overview: The IT Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the IT support and infrastructure team, ensuring the delivery of efficient, secure, and reliable technology services across all organization-supported practices. This role serves as a hands-on technical leader who manages helpdesk operations, supervises IT staff, and ensures that IT systems and services align with organizational needs and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations of IT support, infrastructure, and systems administration teams Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network systems Coordinate helpdesk ticket resolution and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and support of IT assets including workstations, servers, network equipment, and business applications Assist with planning and implementing IT projects, including new practice openings, acquisitions, and system upgrades Support compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare-related regulations through secure IT operations Maintain documentation for systems, processes, inventory, and technical procedures Collaborate with cybersecurity, clinical systems, and operational teams to ensure technology alignment Train, coach, and evaluate IT support staff, fostering continuous improvement and professional development Participate in budget planning and IT asset management Monitor system performance and uptime across the organization’s environments Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field 4+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role Strong technical knowledge of Windows environments, servers, networking, and user support tools Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and HIPAA compliance is preferred Experience using ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshservice, ServiceNow) and remote support tools Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a customer service mindset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL, or related Expectations: Deliver timely, effective IT support across all organization sites and departments Ensure the team follows best practices for troubleshooting, escalation, and documentation Lead with accountability, fairness, and responsiveness to both clinical and administrative users Foster a service-oriented culture that supports the mission and growth of the organization Maintain accurate records of system performance, ticket metrics, and team productivity Support a secure and compliant IT environment that protects patient and company data Benefits BCBS High Deductible & PPO Medical insurance Options VSP Vision Coverage Principal PPO Dental Insurance Complimentary Life Insurance Policy Short-term & Long-Term Disability Pet Insurance Coverage 401(k) Plan HSA / FSA Account Access Identity Theft Protection Legal Services Package Hospital/Accident/Critical Care Coverage Paid Time Off Diverse and Inclusive Work Environment Strong culture of honesty and teamwork About Us: Specialty1 Partners is a practice services organization committed to providing non-clinical, business support services to the nation's leading specialty dental practices. Position Base Pay Range $88,000—$91,170 USD Specialty1 Partners is the direct employer of non-clinical employees only.
