Full Description

Our client is a rapidly expanding organization supporting a network of distributed business locations across multiple markets. The company provides centralized operational and financial infrastructure that enables consistency, strong performance, and scalable growth. As they continue to build out their leadership team, they are seeking a Controller who is both strategic and hands-on—someone who can elevate financial operations while partnering closely with executive and field leaders. About the Role The Controller will serve as the financial anchor for a network of business units, ensuring that all accounting activity, reporting cycles, and financial processes run with accuracy and integrity. This role blends strategic partnership with hands-on oversight, supporting leadership with clear financial visibility while strengthening the systems and practices that support growth. You’ll play a central role in shaping the organization’s financial infrastructure—guiding planning efforts, refining processes, overseeing compliance responsibilities, and coaching a high-performing accounting team. This position is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building scalable, well-organized financial operations. Key Responsibilities • Direct the preparation, review, and distribution of financial reports across all operating units, ensuring leadership has timely and reliable insights. • Design, implement, and maintain internal control practices that promote accuracy, safeguard assets, and support clean audit outcomes. • Coordinate all audit-related activities, manage external tax partners, and ensure the organization meets all regulatory and filing requirements. • Evaluate results across business locations by analyzing revenue streams, expenses, and performance indicators to highlight opportunities for improvement. • Collaborate with operational leaders to identify drivers of financial performance and recommend efficiency-focused changes or corrective actions. • Oversee daily accounting operations, including billing cycles, receivables, payables, account reconciliation, and related transactional workflows. • Lead the organization’s planning cycles—from annual budgeting to ongoing forecasting—ensuring financial assumptions reflect business realities. • Track and manage cash positions, banking relationships, treasury movements, and liquidity needs. • Develop models and analytics that support strategic decision-making, including long-range planning, investments, and company initiatives. • Guide, develop, and mentor accounting team members across onshore and offshore groups, ensuring clarity, consistency, and high-quality output. • Work closely with field and departmental leaders to strengthen financial understanding and reinforce accountability throughout the organization. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced certifications such as CMA are helpful but not required. • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including several years overseeing teams or leading financial operations. • Experience working within multi-location or multi-division environments is strongly preferred. • Deep familiarity with GAAP standards, audit readiness, and internal control frameworks. • Demonstrated ability to interpret financial results, build forecasts, and present data in a clear, actionable way. • Strong leadership presence with the ability to collaborate effectively, influence cross-functional partners, and maintain high ethical standards. Compensation & Benefits • Competitive base salary targeted in the low-to-mid $100Ks, depending on experience. • Performance-based bonus opportunities. • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, and retirement programs. • Opportunities for professional growth and long-term career development.
