If you are passionate about making a difference in a fast-paced environment and value agility, collaboration, customer focus, and integrity, we would love to hear from you POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across fabrication, assembly, and test operations. This role is responsible for production planning, workforce management, process improvement, and operational excellence while aligning with company goals and customer demands. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Operations Management: • Oversee daily operations across fabrication, assembly, and testing to ensure production goals are met. • Responsible for shipping, receiving and the material warehouse. • Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency. • Monitor KPIs, including production output, quality, cost control, and on-time delivery. Leadership & Team Management: • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators. • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Ensure proper workforce planning, including scheduling, training, and performance management. • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to evaluate project feasibility and delivery timelines Quality & Compliance: • Ensure all manufacturing processes meet ISO, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. • Ensure compliance with UL standards and other relevant electrical safety regulations • Partner with Quality Assurance to drive defect reduction and improve product reliability. • Champion safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. Process Improvement & Efficiency: • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality. • Drive automation and modernization efforts to enhance production capabilities. • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to optimize equipment utilization and minimize downtime. Safety & Compliance: • Ensure all manufacturing operations comply with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and company safety policies. • Champion a culture of safety by enforcing PPE requirements, conducting safety audits, and leading incident investigations. • Implement and oversee safety training programs for employees, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and hazard communication. • Monitor and reduce workplace incidents through proactive risk assessments and corrective actions. • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to hazardous materials handling, waste disposal, and energy use. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field. • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in electrical product manufacturing. • Experience in manufacturing or field service of electrical distribution products, specifically switchboards, switchgear, circuit breakers, etc. is preferred. • Strong leadership experience managing production teams in a fabrication, assembly, and test environment. • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. • Advanced experience with ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory control. • Advanced Microsoft Office skills • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and identify trends that impact organizational goals and drive deployment strategies. • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an ability to meet aggressive deadlines and solve complex issues.
