The Role We are seeking a Sales Engineer – Data Centers to support our growing large kW and Data Center solutions business. This role partners closely with National Account Managers, EPC/GC construction firms, and MEP engineering firms to promote and provide technical pre-sales support for our Industrial products. You’ll play a critical role in building relationships with engineering firms, driving specification of our products, and delivering training and presentations that showcase our value in the Data Center market. What You’ll Do • Partner with territory managers to engage engineering firms, promote our solutions, and drive specification adoption • Deliver technical support, presentations, and training sessions (onsite and remote) for engineering and construction partners • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and distributors to achieve project wins and specifications • Conduct competitive analyses and develop sales tools to support business growth • Research and qualify engineering firms using Dodge Analytics data for targeted outreach • Provide real-time customer feedback to internal teams to inform strategy and product development • Support seminars, “lunch & learns,” and engineering community training sessions Qualifications Minimum: • BS in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering • 3+ years of technical sales/sales support experience within the Data Center market • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% Preferred: • Background in Data Center electrical or mechanical design • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills (modeling, presentations) • Ability to influence without direct authority and thrive in a fast-paced environment What We’re Looking For • A self-starter with strong interpersonal and analytical skills • Someone who can manage multiple projects, influence key stakeholders, and translate metrics into meaningful insights • A professional who is motivated by building trusted partnerships and delivering impactful solutions Screening Questions ✅ Do you have experience in Data Center electrical or mechanical design? ✅ Do you have at least 3 years of technical sales or sales support experience within the Data Center market? ✅ Have you partnered with MEP engineering firms, EPCs, or general contractors to provide pre-sales support? ✅ Are you able to travel up to 75% to support client meetings, presentations, and site visits?
