About the Employer Southern Kern Unified School District was established in 1962 and currently serves 3,650 students in two elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, one alternative high school, and one independent study school. Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance and Grounds or Designee, care and maintain grounds, to the best of their ability, by keeping the district's school grounds in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problems and enhance the overall learning environment.
