Almost 20,000 Students 10 Campuses Competency Based Education Online Operations Manager Of Faculty Affairs, Health Sciences Description The Operations Manager for Online Faculty Affairs plays a key leadership role in supporting the success of online adjunct faculty and the students they serve in the Health Sciences program. This position oversees the full faculty lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to scheduling, performance oversight, and professional development. By ensuring effective systems and practices, the Operations Manager contributes directly to the quality of online teaching and the overall student experience. This is a non-teaching position. Responsibilities • Serve as the primary hiring manager for all Health Sciences online adjunct faculty, including overseeing recruiting needs, job postings, application reviews, interviews, and final hiring decisions. • Partner with directors of faculty engagement to ensure new adjunct faculty receive comprehensive onboarding, training, and timely support. • With support from a coordinator of faculty scheduling, oversee the scheduling process, ensuring accurate and timely faculty course assignments, balancing instructor availability, performance, and enrollment needs. • Lead efforts to evaluate teaching effectiveness through annual observations, class oversight, and continuous feedback to promote faculty development. • Develop and implement streamlined workflows for recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance tracking. • Analyze course-level and faculty performance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and lead faculty professional development initiatives. • Collaborate with academic leadership, instructional design, and faculty support staff to implement initiatives that strengthen teaching quality and student outcomes. Requirements Education • Minimum of a master’s degree in a subject area relevant to the Health Sciences program (A&P, Biology, Chemistry, Health Science Research, Physics). • Doctorate preferred. Experience • Proven leadership experience in higher education, with emphasis on online academic operations, adjunct faculty management, and academic staffing. • Demonstrated success in faculty lifecycle management, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance oversight. • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to lead teams and collaborate across diverse stakeholders. • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and technical skills, including demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Canvas LMS, and Zoom. Experience with Anthology and PowerBI preferred. • Ability to work independently and productively in a remote environment, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and effective time management
