The Role As an Operations Accounting Manager at Source, you are a key contributor in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our financial reporting and accounting operations. You’ll independently manage critical financial functions, lead month-end close processes, provide detailed financial reporting, and collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Operations, the CEO and Project Accounting. This role requires a seasoned accounting and administrative professional with a sharp analytical mindset, a strong grasp of GAAP, and the ability to execute in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Your Impact General Ledger & Period-End Close Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring transaction accuracy, proper classification, and compliance with GAAP. Record and post non-routine and routine accounting transactions, including accruals, amortization and depreciation schedules, and reclasses in alignment with internal policies. Collaborate with the Operations and Project Accounting teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of close-related entries and adjustments. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, & Cash Management Oversee Operations-related accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice intake, GL coding, approval routing, and payment scheduling. Conduct AP reconciliations to ensure completeness and timeliness of disbursements, maintaining accurate aging schedules. Reconcile, record, and code opex credit card transactions. Monitor daily cash activity across operational bank accounts, ensuring sufficient funds for scheduled payments and reporting variances. Contribute to cash flow forecasting by providing disbursement schedules and analyzing outflows across departments. Internal Controls & Compliance Analyze variances and trends to explain fluctuations in operating expenditures and assist with department-level expense reviews. Support the design, maintenance, and documentation of internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring strong audit readiness. Assist with audit preparation, including compiling schedules and responding to external auditor inquiries. Register for, and file, multiple monthly state sales and use tax filings. Monitor changes in GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory standards, recommending updates to accounting procedures as needed. Systems & Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations, reduce manual tasks, and increase accuracy in posting and reconciliation workflows. Participate in ERP system enhancements, including testing functionality, validating outputs, and updating documentation for new processes. Stay current with emerging accounting tools and automation solutions, evaluating their applicability to internal workflows and financial reporting needs. What You’ll Bring to the Role Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment with exposure to dynamic financial operations. Deep understanding of GAAP, internal control frameworks, and period-end close processes, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness. Proven ability to manage general ledger activities, journal entry preparation, and reconciliation processes across operational and corporate accounts. Proficient in ERP systems such as Acumatica, as well as accounting and workflow platforms like RAMP and Bill.com; strong command of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for financial reporting and data analysis. Experience supporting cash management, including bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, and payment scheduling across multiple accounts. Effective collaborator with cross-functional teams, with a demonstrated ability to support budgeting, reporting, and financial decision-making. Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering clear, concise insights and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity and confidentiality in financial operations. Familiarity with procurement and payment tools is a plus, particularly in environments where systems integration and process automation are key initiatives. Skilled in using relevant AI tools and how to leverage them to exponentially inform and impact your work. The minimum base salary for the Operations Accounting Manager position is $105,000 annually, and the maximum salary is $125,000 annually. The actual compensation offered to a successful candidate will be based on these factors and may vary accordingly. Additionally, successful candidates may be considered for discretionary bonuses and other incentive programs, aligned with both individual contributions and overall company performance, in accordance with Source’s compensation and benefits policies.
